KEKUATAN LENTUR BALOK BETON RINGAN BERAGREGAT SAMPAH PLASTIK PP

Abstract


Paper ini menyajikan perilaku lentur balok beton yang menggunakan agregat kasar ringan dari sampah plastik polypropylene. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka mengembangkan produk beton ringan yang ramah lingkungan (green concrete). Dengan menggunakan beton ringan pada bangunan, berat struktur menjadi berkurang sehingga terjadi pengurangan gaya gempa pada dasar bangunan. Dengan demikian dapat membantu mengurangi kerusakan bangunan ketika terjadi gempa bumi. Pengujian lentur dilakukan pada balok beton bertulang berukuran 8 mm x 16 mm x 160 mm, yang menggunakan bahan susun beton dari semen portland komposit (PCC), pasir vulkanik dari wilayah Magelang, agregat kasar ringan dari sampah plastik. Faktor air semen yang digunakan adalah 0,3 dan 0,35 dengan berat semen 500 kg/m3.

This paper presents the flexural behavior of concrete beams using lightweight coarse aggregates from polypropylene plastic waste. This research was conducted in order to develop lightweight concrete products that are environmentally friendly (green concrete). By using lightweight concrete in the building, the weight of the structure is reduced so that there is a reduction in earthquake force at the base of the building. Thus it can help reduce building damage when an earthquake occurs. Flexural testing is carried out on reinforced concrete beams measuring 8 mm x 16 mm x 160 mm, which use concrete stacking material from portland cement composite (PCC), volcanic sand from the Magelang region, lightweight coarse aggregate from plastic waste. The cement water factor used is 0.3 and 0.35 with a cement weight of 500 kg/m3.
